"WELCOME BACK" Students, Teachers, Parents, Guidance Counselors, Principals, Superintendent and School Board Members... We have a great STEM line up for this year. We invite to you join us on Saturday, September 17th at Kenmoor Middle School, 2500 Kenmoor Drive, Landover, MD from 10am to 1pm. We have partnered with 12 middle schools that will provide a team to participate in our academic competitions. Come and check out our competitions and sign up to be in the competition of your choice. Celebrates 51st Anniversary in Sept.

 The Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church festival celebrates their 51st annual festival, Friday through Sunday, Sept. 16, 17 and 18, 2011, from 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday (rain or shine). The largest and oldest DC Greek Festival is located at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church at the corner of 16th and Upshur streets in Washington, D.C. Admission is FREE.

Catholic School Students Welcome Back Returning Military Service Member

 

Students from St. Raphael School and St. Raphael Nursery School in Rockville are planning another hero’s welcome, this time for Lt. Cmdr. Jaime Salazar.  The brave soldier and father is scheduled to return from Afghanistan September 9 or 10, will be greeted by students from both St. Raphael School and St. Raphael Nursery School on Monday, September 12—one day after the ten year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. With the school grounds donned with American flags and yellow ribbons, the students will line Dunster Road outside the school to greet Salazar as he picks up his four year old daughter, Julia, from her preschool class.
