Although Hurricane Irene is long gone, her fury is still being felt by millions of east coast residents as they wade through her aftermath in an attempt to return to normalcy.  From severe flooding to lost power and water supply, the stories of all of our friends in all our communities affected are as expansive as those who have felt her aftermath.

City Commemorates Tenth Anniversary of the Events of 9/11


A ceremony of reflection and remembrance honoring the tenth anniversary of the events of September 11th will be held at Inspiration Park on Sunday, September 11 at 7 p.m.  Inspiration Park, which was dedicated by the City on the one-year anniversary of the September 11th events, is located at the corner of Inspiration and Firehouse Lanes in the Kentlands, Gaithersburg.

Leggett to Participate in Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Washington Nationals Miracle Field


On Monday, August 1st, Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett will join Maryland Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown, Montgomery County Council members Craig Rice and Phil Andrews, U.S. Congressman Chris Van Hollen,  local government officials and Nationals players and owners to officially open the new Miracle Field in Germantown.
