Saturday, October 23, Greenbelt’s Northway Woods will be lit for one half-mile with hundreds of Jack-o-lanterns.
This 20 year tradition was created to preserve the forest, (which is one of Greenbelt’s most original designs) and to raise awareness of the beautiful trails and greens to the community.
Thanks to sponsors and active members of the community, the gorgeous pumpkins are set out on the trail at 5pm for the event. After the event, people may retrieve their pumpkins, take home pumpkins donated by sponsors, and the rest will be composited.
Did I mention there will be free apple cider and hot cocoa?
