PGPD Announces Investigative Discovery in Police-Involved Shooting in Brentwood

The following information was sent to us by the Prince George's County Police:

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Special Investigation Response Team (SIRT) has discovered video tape evidence that does not support the initial version of events reported regarding the February 3, 2012 police-involved shooting in Brentwood.  As a result of this discovery, the PGPD has requested the State’s Attorney’s Office amend the criminal charges against Ryan Keith Dorm.

A press conference will be held TUESDAY, JANUARY 10, 2012 following the 2:00 p.m. sentencing of Jason Thomas Scott, outside the U.S. District Courthouse, 6500 Cherrywood Lane in Greenbelt, Maryland, to announce the sentence of Scott, who was convicted at trial of 11 federal felony charges relating to a series of crimes committed during more than 50 burglaries and nine armed home invasion robberies.
