Greenbelt Man Charged With Attempted Murder

GREENBELT, Md. (WUSA) -- Greenbelt police say they have arrested a suspect in the shooting on the 7900 block of Mandan Road from last Friday.

Police arrested 24-year-old Roderick Snowden of Greenbelt on Wednesday morning. He was arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant charging him with attempted first degree murder.

Last Friday, police reported that a call came in at approximately 5:04 p.m. for a shooting near apartment complexes in that area. Witnesses told police the suspect might be inside the building where the shooting took place. Police searched the building but could not find the suspect. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a white t-shirt, carrying a black handgun.

The victim was taken to Prince George's Hospital Center. Wednesday morning, police said he remained hospitalized.
