University of Phoenix, the nation’s largest private university and leader in providing educational opportunities for today’s working learner, today announced the appointment of Josh Chumley as campus director for the University’s Maryland campus. Chumley will oversee all campus operations including academic affairs, enrollment, finance and student and alumni services for the University’s four Maryland locations. 

 

 

Chumley has held several leadership positions at University of Phoenix, most recently serving as campus director for the University’s Boston campus. Chumley was previously academic counselor and director of student services for University of Phoenix locations in the Midwest, and played an integral role in launching the University’s Chattanooga campus. Prior to his work at the University, Chumley was program director for a group home for at-risk youth in Tennessee, Colorado and Arizona.

 

Chumley is also passionate about giving back to his local community. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the Boston Chapter of national literacy and mentoring non-profit organization Everybody Wins! and was recently named to Junior Achievement of Central Maryland’s Board of Directors, an organization he has worked with throughout his career.

 

 

Chumley holds a master’s degree in education and educational counseling from University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree from Lee University.
