The Washington D.C. area was rocked by a 5.9 magnitude earthquake shortly before 2 p.m. Eastern today. Did you feel it? The epicenter was in Mineral, Virginia, which is 87 miles southwest of Washington D.C., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
