Photo Gallery | County Fire Department Receives New Ambulances

The Prince George’s County Fire/ Emergency Medical Services Department has started to receive 13 new ambulances built by Wheeled Coach.

These units feature the signature color scheme of white with a red stripe and include state of the art technology.  A few of the features include a Safety Vision SafeDrive Mini DVR video recording system to monitor and record vehicle operations, a Safety Vision backup camera and color monitor to aid the driver when reversing, a Firecom, LED dome lights, a Medi-Kool stainless steel, climate-controlled drug cabinet, an electric oxygen tank lift and much more.

Prince George's County, Executive Rushern L. Baker, took a tour of the newly purchased ambulances along with the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Public Safety Barry Stanton, and Fire Chief Marc Bashoor. 

The ambulances cost $230,000 each and were purchased from DPC Emergency Equipment in Delaware.
